As Houston is recovering from Hurricane Harvey, a new Hurricane, Irma, could affect the Miami Dolphins and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The NFL is getting affected by another Hurricane, as Irma could possibly change the date of the Dolphins and Buccaneers game this week. According to Steven Wine of the AP, the game that is scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 10 at 1 p.m. EST could move to either a Thursday night or Friday night game.

Another option for the teams is to move the game to another location, keeping the game on Sunday. While the teams do share the same bye week this season, they would rather avoid having to use it for a reschedule, considering it would mean no break for either team the rest of the way.

This isn’t the first time a game has been affected by a hurricane this season, as Hurricane Harvey canceled the final preseason game between the Houston Texans and the Dallas Cowboys.

Harvey has done some nasty damage to the state of Texas, especially in the city of Houston.  Texans defensive end J.J. Watt has done wonders for raising money for the city, tweeting out his fundraiser and getting more people to donate to help people recover. Watt has raised over $17 million to this point.

Harvey was a category three and with all the damage done, Irma could be worse. According to CNN, Hurricane Irma is currently a category three and could see it increase to a category four.

The Dolphins just added a new canopy last year to withstand a category four hurricane. That could be affected, causing damage to the stadium and risking the possibility of more issues for the rest of the home games in 2017.

At this point, we simply hope everyone in the impacted area remains safe.
