NFL schedule Week 1: Dates, times, TV schedule and more

Week 1 of the 2017 NFL season is upon us. Here are the dates, times and television schedule for all 16 regular season games being played this week.

We made it! The 2017 NFL regular season will be under way this week. Regardless of when your favorite team is playing or how bad your fantasy football team might be, football is back. All 32 NFL teams will be in action this week in their openers.

Starting us off right on Thursday Night Football will be a great AFC matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and the New England Patriots. NBC will have the primetime telecast in Foxborough, as kickoff begins at 8:30 p.m. ET at Gillette Stadium on September 7.

12 games will be scattered on either CBS of FOX in the early or late afternoon start times. Sunday Night Football on NBC will be between NFC East division rivals in the  New York Giants and the Dallas Cowboys. Kickoff from AT&T Stadium in Arlington will be at 8:30 p.m. ET on September 10.

As is tradition during the opening week in the NFL, there will be back-to-back Monday Night Football games airing on ESPN. The first game will be between NFC teams in the New Orleans Saints and the Minnesota Vikings. Kickoff from U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis will be at 7:10 p.m. ET on September 11.

The second Monday Night Football game will between AFC West rivals in the Los Angeles Chargers and the Denver Broncos. Kickoff from Mile High Stadium in Denver will be at 10:20 p.m. ET to close out the weekly slate. Here are all the start times and television networks each NFL game will be played on this week.
