Week 1 of the college football season is in the books and Week 2 is officially underway. Let’s take a look at the updated recruiting rankings.

The college football season is moving along and we are now headed into the second week of play. Recruiting never stops, and the top teams in the country continue to dominate in the 2018 class.

One team, however, has been absent from the rankings on both 247Sports and ESPN. Surprisingly, Alabama has been absent from the top 10 of both rankings and it’s likely because Nick Saban’s class only has 10 pledges. He will surely crack the top 10, if not the top five, before it’s all said and done.

Let’s check out the 247Sports top 10 rankings after the first week of action:

  1. Ohio State: 17 commits
  2. Texas: 18 commits
  3. Penn State: 23 commits
  4. Miami: 19 commits
  5. Oregon: 22 commits
  6. Tennessee: 23 commits
  7. Florida:17 commits
  8. Notre Dame: 16 commits
  9. Oklahoma: 18 commits
  10. Florida State: 18 commits

The 247Sports‘ top 10 remained virtually the same as it was the week before as the top 10 teams had no new pledges. Teams like Texas A&M, UCLA, Michigan, Clemson and LSU are right on the outside, looking in.

Now, here’s a look at the ESPN rankings after Week 1:

  1. Ohio State
  2. Texas
  3. Penn State
  4. Miami
  5. Tennessee
  6. Oregon
  7. Florida
  8. Florida State
  9. Oklahoma
  10. LSU: 19 commits

The only changes in this top 10 were the flips of Oregon and Tennessee at No. 6 and No. 5, respectively, and Oklahoma went from No. 10 to No. 9 while LSU went back a spot from No. 9.
