Costa Rica face Mexico at the Estadio Nacional de Costa Rica on Tuesday, Sept. 5. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
Costa Rica are currently in good position to automatically qualify for the World Cup. La Sele were second in the Hex heading into the latest round of qualifiers, but are coming off a somewhat disappointing Gold Cup, in which they were knocked out in the semifinals by the United States. The two wins over Trinidad have not been decisive, but the results are all that matters at this point. Christian Bolanos and Joel Campbell are tied for Costa Rica’s leading scorers with two apiece.

Mexico are still top of the Hex. The last time they faced Costa Rica, El Tri handily beat them by two goals to nil. Goals from Javier Hernandez and Nestor Araujo in the first half were enough to lift them to victory. Nine different players for Mexico have scored a goal in the Hex, and they are as difficult to stop going forward as they are compact defensively. El Tri have boast the fewest goals conceded best best goal differential.
