28. Thomas Heurtel, PG, Barcelona

Barcelona was terrible last season, as injuries and an ill-fitting roster kept them near the basement of Euroleague. The once-proud franchise will try to rebuild this year, and they’ll do it on the back of Heurtel, who averaged 12.4 points and 6.2 assists at Efes last year.

A skilled shooter and ball-handler, Heurtel is one of Euroleague’s unique joys to watch. He looks and plays like you might be able to find him at your local rec center, hitting everything despite a clear size disadvantage and always trusting a little *too* much in his ability to attack the basket. He may not be the best decision-maker and you definitely can’t let the opponent’s best player isolate against him, but if you love scoop shots, pump-fake turnaround jumpers and two-handed shuttle passes on the fast break, Heurtel is your guy. He’ll definitely breathe some much-needed life into the Barca offense and should at the very, very least make them watchable again.
