The 50 most interesting players in European hoops: Nos. 30-21
26. Kevin Seraphin, PF, Barcelona
Kevin Seraphin is another NBA player making the transition to Euroleague, and the French big man should fill a nice gap for Barca at the five. The Spaniards were over-reliant on their star Ante Tomic last season, and he had a very difficult year with little to no help. Seraphin should help in that regard, as he’ll be much better equipped to provide solid minutes at the European level.
Long a decent-to-solid French national team guy, Seraphin’s rebounding and energy competing under the basket should work a little better in Euroleague. He will provide some toughness behind Tomic, a historically softer big man, and his passing may also be better utilized in Europe, much like Ekpe Udoh’s was while with Fenerbahce. While he struggled to display the extent of his skills at the NBA level, Seraphin should get a better chance to contribute in a meaningful way as Barca’s third big man this season.
