With Week 1 NFL action creeping ever closer, let’s look at the updated point spreads heading into Thursday’s game versus Kansas City and New England.

The 2017 NFL season begins on Thursday night when the defending Super Bowl champion New England Patriots host an AFC rival in the Kansas City Chiefs. That game features a whopping point spread that New England is laying at 8.5 points.

It is also one of nine lines that have changed throughout the week. The game between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Miami Dolphins has been rescheduled to Week 11 due to Hurricane Irma, so that line is off the books. Here are some of the adjustments you need to know to the point spreads heading into the weekend.

The biggest shift in points since Monday has to be the Buffalo Bills laying an additional three points to the visiting New York Jets. This has a lot to do with Bills starting quarterback Tyrod Taylor clearing concussion protocol. Buffalo is now laying a whopping 11 points at home to the visiting Jets.

Most of the lines that have changed have been more of the half-point variety. Games like that would include the Atlanta Falcons laying seven at the Chicago Bears, the Houston Texans laying 5.5 points at home to the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Los Angeles Rams laying 3.5 points at home to the Indianapolis Colts.

The other big note besides the Bills laying a ridiculous 11 points to the Jets is that the Arizona Cardinals at the Detroit Lions is no longer a pick ’em. Arizona will be laying one point on the road in Detroit on Sunday afternoon.
