5. Alexey Shved, SG, Khimki Moscow

Shved, the reigning Eurocup MVP, is a developing legend for Khimki Moscow. entering his third season in Europe after an ill-fated NBA run, the Russian shooting guard exploded during the Eurocup Top 16, where he averaged 25.2 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 5.3 assists per game in six games to push his team to the quarterfinals. He was the single most unstoppable force in the competition last year, and now, he’s back in Euroleague.

Shved isn’t always great, and his confidence in his own shot creation can make him volatile at times. But entering his peak, he’s now a sure thing to average 18-20 points per game, even at the Euroleague level. He can shoot from Stephen Curry range, and his handle and court vision allow him to establish a consistent threat at the rim as well. He is the next great Euroleague scoring guard, and this year should be his official arrival as a top player in Europe.
