Jaguars at Texans live stream: TV info, prediction, odds and more
By John Buhler
The Houston Texans will host their AFC South rival Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday afternoon. Here is the television info, the betting odds and a prediction.
Week 1 of the 2017 NFL season is here. One of the games that will be played on Sunday will be between AFC South rivals in the Houston Texans and the Jacksonville Jaguars. Kickoff from NRG Stadium in Houston will be at 1:00 p.m. ET on September 10.
While the game might have been relocated due to hardships Hurricane Harvey have put on Gulf Coast Texas, it will remain in Houston as scheduled. CBS will have the telecast. Andrew Catalon and James Lofton will be in the broadcast booth. The available live streams can be found on NFL.com and FuboTV.
This is the first of two biannual meetings between these AFC South rivals. Houston is coming off its second straight division title. The Texans defeated the Oakland Raiders in the AFC wild card round, only to fall to the New England Patriots in the divisional round up in Foxborough.
Jacksonville has become one of the worst teams in the NFL for the last decade. Not since the 2007 NFL season have the Jaguars reached the AFC playoffs. Jacksonville has been picking in the the top-five of the NFL Draft for the last six years. Will this be the year it all changes for the Jaguars or will it be more of the same?

According to SportsBook Review, the Texans will be laying 5.5 points at home to the visiting Jaguars. The associated moneylines for this game are Houston -235 and Jacksonville +200. This game’s over/under comes in at a combined 39.5 points.
Betting Odds
Point Spread: Houston -5.5
Moneylines: Houston -235, Jacksonville +200
Over/Under: 39.5
Neither team has what we consider to be elite quarterbacking play. Houston will go with Tom Savage in this Week 1 opener. Though head coach Bill O’Brien likes Savage, he has yet to throw a touchdown pass in an NFL regular season game.
For the Jaguars, it will be Blake Bortles again. Who else can get benched in the preseason only to win his starting job back? Jacksonville cut third-stringer Brandon Allen and Bortles’ backup Chad Henne is definitely not the answer either.
Expect this to be a low-scoring defensive struggle. We could get a handful of turnovers from two potential top-10 defenses. Though Jacksonville matches up decently with the Texans and could pull off a Week 1 upset, Houston will play with more passion right out of the gate on Sunday.

Houston has had to deal with the aftermath of the worst storm to hit the area in 1,000 years. Texans football brings a sense of normality to city. Effort will take the Texans over the top. Take the Texans to cover the 5.5-point spread, but side with the under.
Prediction: Texans 20, Jaguars 13
