The Alabama Crimson Tide will host the Fresno State Bulldogs to kick off their slate of home games on Saturday.

If anyone had any doubts, the Alabama Crimson Tide are still the team to defeat in college football. As they begin the road back to trying to bounce back from the title loss last year, the team got off to a huge start in Week 1. They defeated the Florida State Seminoles on the strength of their defense and made it look rather easy.

This week, the Crimson Tide will be back at home and facing the Fresno State Bulldogs. This is the classic big school vs small school game that often happens after a powerhouse plays a huge game in their opening week.

It was a great showing this past week for many members of the Crimson Tide. They managed to hold Florida State’s offense to just seven points on the night. With many veterans on the defensive side of the ball, this is shaping up to be one of their best yet.

Jalen Hurts didn’t pass the ball much on the night, as he only completed 10 passes. However, he did have a favorite target on the night. Calvin Ridley caught seven of those passes from Hurts and it was a good sign of things to come.

Ridley’s production dipped a bit last season as his freshman quarterback adjusted to the position. The two sides hooking up early is only going to be bad news for everyone else. For Fresno State, it’s about staying as competitive as they can for as long as possible.
