Baker Mayfield went into full troll mode following the big Oklahoma win against Ohio State on Saturday night

Baker Mayfield and the Oklahoma Sooners have been waiting a long time to get another crack at the Ohio State Buckeyes following the embarrassing loss in Norman last season. Saturday night Mayfield and his Sooners team finally got the opportunity for revenge in Columbus, and boy did they ever take advantage of it. When all was said and done in the Horseshoe on Saturday, the Sooners came away with the definitive 31-16 win, and Mayfield was his usual amazing self in the process.

However, unfortunately, not many people may be talking about Mayfield’s performance in the game for the next couple days. Rather, they may want to discuss more what happened after the win.

As you’d expect, waiting for revenge this long, Mayfield and the Sooners were pretty damn excited about heading up north and getting the job done. Well, Mayfield may have gotten a little too excited, as he took the Oklahoma flag and planted it directly in the center of Ohio Stadium — more affectionately known as The Horseshoe. Right directly in the middle of the “O.”

Yeah, now you know that this will not sit well with a lot of people. Many are going to go right ahead and call this a classless move, which it probably was. Sure, Mayfield and the Sooners were pumped about the win, but maybe go about things just a little better than this.

In the win on Saturday, the former Texas Tech walk-on was 27-of-35 with 386 yards and three touchdowns.

But, again, when people talk about this game and the win for the foreseeable future, this might be the only thing that’s brought up, which is kind of sad to think about when you realize how well the Sooners played to get the big early win here.
