2. Beast Mode is back

The NFL is better when Marshawn Lynch is playing. And even a year removed from playing, there didn’t seem to be much rust. Late in the fourth quarter, Lynch ran right over defensive tackle Jurrell Casey. Everyone heard the hit and it certainly got a reaction from the Titans crowd.

Keep in mind, Casey has a good 90 pounds on Lynch, but the low man always wins. That’s why they call him Beast Mode.

While he doesn’t do much talking off the field, Lynch certainly knows how to talk with his pads. We can only hope to see more of these punishing plays this season.

1. Jaquiski Tartt robs Cam Newton

This might be one of the best interceptions you’ll see all season. Cam Newton thought he had a touchdown to Kelvin Benjamin, but Jaquiski Tartt had other plans.

Like a centerfielder in baseball, Tartt broke across the field and timed Newton’s pass perfectly. He came overtop of Benjamin and made the incredible one-handed grab. Not only was it a fantastic play, but it was a touchdown saving interception. If the pass was caught by Benjamin, the Panthers would have easily taken a 14-0 lead.

Next: J.J. Watt makes an emotional return to Houston

You won’t see an interception executed much better than that all season. Tartt now has one for the highlight reel.
