How did the college football coaches on the hot seat fare in Week 2?

Two weeks of the college football season are in the books and multiple coaches continue to dig their coaching graves as the season remains in its infancy. This week wasn’t too kind to the coaches on the hot seat and the heat has certainly been turned up a notch.

For some, it was losses to teams that provided them their best chance of winning move forward. For others, it was more of the same and for one, it was the least inspiring victory that he could have this year.

Nonetheless, these coaches haven’t been put on ice yet and they’ll have their chance to turn it around as the season moves forward. Here are the winners and losers of the college football coaches on the hot seat in Week 2.

Loser – Lance Leipold

After losing to Minnesota last week and seeing his team score only seven points, Lance Leipold needed his guys to bounce back against Army this week. Once again, Buffalo didn’t give up many points but they didn’t score many either.

Leipold’s offense has been nothing short of anemic and the first two games have been a serious indicator of what lies ahead for the program. He’ll get more time to get them out this hole, but there has to be a spark.

The Bulls haven’t been exactly getting blown out by any stretch and the two games thus far have been close, but they’re also averaging 12 points a game right now. That has to change soon for his sake.
