Loser – Todd Graham

When the Arizona State Sun Devils defeated New Mexico State in the opening week, no one was left with a very good feeling after. One thing was for sure and that was the team had to take care of their non-conference schedule if they wanted to give themselves a shot to make some improvement toward becoming a bowl team again.

It also should come as no surprise a talented San Diego State team came into Tempe and was able to come away with the win. While losing to the Aztecs is something that happens to plenty of team, it’s not doing Todd Graham any favors.

It now has put him in a hole with a lot of work ahead of him. They have a huge road game at Texas Tech that he and the team desperately needs to win. If they don’t win that game then he’s in serious trouble looking ahead.

When they begin their conference slate, there is a very real chance they could start with six or seven straight losses. That’s how brutal their conference schedule is in comparison to their non-conference schedule.

Games against Oregon, Stanford, Washington, USC and others could very well doom him. His team is going to have transform quickly into something that they haven’t shown yet. Things are trending down very quickly.
