Charcandrick West

Running Back, Kansas City Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs were in dire straits when starting running back Spencer Ware was lost for the season. He was expected to be the workhorse in the Kansas City ground game, after the Chiefs parted ways with long-time star running back Jamaal Charles.

Charles could be a decent player to grab if available, but he now plays for a potentially putrid offense in Denver. Kansas City seems to have struck gold in the third round in the form of Toledo Rockets rocket Kareem Hunt. He had so much hype, he’s definitely been gobbled up by now in almost all leagues.

So what is a poor fantasy football player to do? Think West, as in Charcandrick West. West won fantasy players a lot of games last season. With a name like Charcandrick, a reputation as a fantasy sleeper and playing on an excellent Kansas City team, this could be the droid you’re looking for to put in your fantasy lineup.

West would be a flex-level player in bigger leagues. If he’s not on someone’s bench, go get him. Hunt may have been sensational in Week 1, but he is a rookie. West proved that he can be counted on in moments of need in the Kansas City offense. Maybe he bails you out in the wake of the Johnson injury?
