Week 2 of the college football season is in the books but recruiting never stops. Let’s take a look at the updated recruiting rankings.

Another week of college football has passed us by and the top teams in the country are beginning to make themselves known.

With the distinction of being an elite team in the college football landscape comes the benefit of recruiting top-tier players. Each week, we will dive into the team recruiting rankings on two of the biggest databases out there. There was a little bit of movement in the top 10 this week.

Let’s check out the 247Sports top 10 rankings after the first week of action:

  1. Ohio State: 17 commits
  2. Texas: 18 commits
  3. Penn State: 23 commits
  4. Miami: 19 commits
  5. Oregon: 22 commits
  6. Tennessee: 23 commits
  7. Florida:17 commits
  8. Notre Dame: 16 commits
  9. Oklahoma: 18 commits
  10. UCLA: 23 commits

The newest addition to the team recruiting rankings after Week 2 is UCLA as Jim Mora has done solid work on the trail. To make room for the Bruins, Florida State was bounced from the top 10, moving down to No. 11. As you’ll soon find out, the Bruins made moves in the ESPN rankings as well.

Alabama is still sitting at No. 28 overall with just 10 pledges. You’d have to think that will change soon, right?

Now, here’s a look at the ESPN rankings after Week 2:

  1. Ohio State
  2. Texas
  3. Penn State
  4. Miami
  5. Tennessee
  6. Oregon
  7. Florida
  8. Florida State: 18 commits
  9. Oklahoma
  10. LSU: 19 commits

What you don’t see outside the top 10 is a surging UCLA squad. The Bruins have picked up some commitments recently from top-tier players in 2018 and they’ve moved up to No. 11 while Clemson, Texas A&M and Notre Dame each fell one spot.
