4. Nelson Agholor

It was clear this offseason that the Philadelphia Eagles were doing their very best to rally around their young receiver. Last year, the 2015 first round pick had major struggles including drops, missed assignments and costly mistakes, and was ultimately benched to work on the mental side of his game. Over the summer, the team put their faith in him, traded away one of their most consistent receivers in Jordan Matthews, and all the hype coming out of camp was that Agholor had turned things around.

In the Eagles’ opener against Washington, Agholor had a fantastic outing, six six catches for 86 yards and a long score on the team’s opening drive. Outside of Zach Ertz (8-93), quarterback Carson Wentz seemed to look Agholor’s way the most throughout the game, and the team attempted to involve him in screen plays, swing passes and sweeps. He did have one very shaky play where Carson Wentz threw an ill-advised backwards pass which the wideout couldn’t haul in and was ruled a fumble and turnover, but for the most part his hands weren’t a major issue.

As the Eagles look to the air while they struggle to move the ball on the ground, they’ll keep looking to get the ball into the hands of Agholor. He could see some volume moving forward.
