Nintendo is bringing back the NES Classic

With the news of Nintendo developing more SNES Classic’s so everybody can have one, the company will also bring back the NES Classic. We still aren’t convinced.

Last year, we went through a heartbreaking experience. When Nintendo revealed the Nintendo NES Classic Edition, we couldn’t believe our eyes. So much nostalgia in one little box for only $60? We had to have it in our hands.

Unfortunately, trying to purchase this console was impossible because of the supply shortages. Nintendo promised this won’t be the case for the upcoming collection SNES Classic, but we’ll have to see it to believe it. However, for those who couldn’t get their hands on the NES Classic, you’ll still have a chance.

According to Nintendo of Europe, Nintendo will be bringing back the NES Classic next summer. Obviously, this is only for Europe at this point. But, it’s almost guaranteed shipments will be coming West to North America. As to how many Nintendo will be bringing back is unknown. At this point, we’re so exhausted from this entire ordeal that we simply won’t get our hopes up anymore. We’re just cautiously optimistic.

Like always, we’ll try to find the good in everything. It seems Nintendo is trying to make it up to the fans. It’s promising more shipments of the SNES Classic and it’s bringing back the NES Classic after ceasing production. There’s no denying it wants to bring joy to the fans. Whether Nintendo can deliver on this promise is a whole other story.

Nintendo of America president, Reggie Fils-Aime, doesn’t want fans spending more than the actual cost of the console. According to GameSpot, Fils-Aime said the following:

"I would strongly urge you not to over-bid on an SNES Classic on any of the auction sites… You shouldn’t [have to] pay more than $79.99."

The SNES Classic Edition launches on Sep. 29, 2017. The NES Classic Edition should be making its comeback sometime in 2018.
