Highlight of the Week: AN 87-YARD LOSS AND IT’S BEAUTIFUL!

Look, the Highlight of the Week here doesn’t always have to be something on the positive side. Sometimes, it may involve some misfortune a team suffers that makes you laugh uncontrollably, even days after it actually happened. Actually, this is something we all will be chuckling at for years to come.

Ladies and gentlemen, we present to you the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs.

There were a lot of things that went wrong on Saturday in Louisiana Tech’s 57-21 loss to Mississippi State, but nothing comes close to when the Bulldogs were facing a 2nd-and-goal in the fourth quarter. Looking to punch one in to try and make the score a little more respectable in some form, the snapped sailed way over the quarterback’s head, and from there, one of the greatest scrambles for the ball in the history of football took place.

The result? Louisiana Tech would regain possession … but all the way on the other end of the field, setting up what would be a glorious 3rd-and-93 play.

College football can be downright stupid sometimes, but man, do we love it even more when it is.
