It’s the most wonderful time of the football year when Nick Saban is going off on reporters for questions that he’s not a fan of

It really isn’t college football season unless Alabama Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban is berating a reporter for some sort of question that he, in his mind, deems stupid. On Wednesday, we got that gift that just keeps on giving from the ROLL TIDE leader himself.

Heading into the Week 3 matchup with Colorado State this weekend, Saban was once again asked a question about freshman quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. The Hawaiian star saw his first action of the season last week against Fresno State where he went 6-of-9 with 64 yards and a touchdown. So, the expectation is that he will see more time on Saturday when Alabama plays another out-of-conference game against the Rams.

Well this reporter wanted to know when specifically Alabama fans might see Tagovailoa on the field in Week 3 and, well, Saban was not having any of that question.

Now before people want to tear into Saban, he does sort of have a point here. Why would he give away specifically when the youngster will be seeing the field on Saturday? Sure, he’ll let you know that he’ll be on the field against Colorado State, but he doesn’t have to go out of his way to give you, like, a specific quarter or anything of the sort.

Maybe my favorite part of this particular rant is probably when he says he’ll just give the game plan to Mike Bobo’s dad, who happens to live near one of his homes. That made me laugh out loud a little, I won’t lie.

Seriously, as long as it isn’t too mean-spirited, Saban going off on reporters for a question he doesn’t see as favorable will never get old.
