Tottenham face Borussia Dortmund at Wembley Stadium on Wednesday, Sept. 13. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
The Champions League gets underway this week, with Borussia Dortmund traveling to Wembley to face Tottenham. Last year, Dortmund finished third in the Bundesliga, while Tottenham finished second to Chelsea in the Premier League.
Tottenham have struggled to start the season, with seven points from their first four games. However, Spurs are coming off their best performance of the season, defeating Everton 3-0 at Goodison Park. Harry Kane scored his first two goals of the season, to tie Dele Alli for the team lead. However, Alli will serve the first of his three-game ban after picking up a red card last year. Mauricio Pochettino’s squad have struggled at Wembley Stadium, losing to Chelsea and drawing with Burnley this season. Pochettino’s lineup against Dortmund will be interesting as they have used both three- and four-man back lines. If Pochettino opts for three at the back, Davinson Sanchez will likely start. Serge Aurier would likely start if Spurs go with four at the back.

After three games, Dortmund are first in the Bundesliga, with seven points and three clean sheets. However, keeping a clean sheet against Tottenham will be difficult after starting left-back Marcel Schmelzer suffered an ankle injury against Freiburg that will keep him out for the next few weeks. Center-back Marc Bartra could also miss Wednesday’s game with a groin injury. Offensively, Dortmund have one of the better front threes in Europe, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Christian Pulisic and Maximilian Philipp. The trio has combined for three goals and two assists this season.
