Is this the year for the Cleveland Indians?

Football is in full swing, the MLB race is on and Carm’s piece on Craig Hodges & the Colin Kaepernick comparisons.

The NFL season kicked off last Thursday when my Kansas City Chiefs stunned the New England Patriots 42-27 at Foxborough. Carm was impressed, calling the Patriots disappointing play his biggest NFL week 1 takeaway.

In the world of college football, Baker Mayfield and company did some stunning of their own in a 31-16 win over Ohio State at “The Shoe.” Following the game, the Heisman hopeful ran around the stadium with the OU flag in hand before staking it in the ground at the 50-yard. We debate whether the move was tacky or revenge for last years game in Norman.

Things are heating up in Major League Baseball as teams are making their final push before the playoffs. In true fashion, it’s a tight race in the NL Central between the Cards and Cubs while Cleveland is on a historic 21 game winning streak breaking an American League record.

Kevin Durant made the losers list again (guess who picked that one) who recently introduced his new KD 10 Finals shoe. On the insoles, you can find all the less than flattering words that were used in describing Durant following his move to Golden State. Written over that in gold reads, “2017 Champs” and “Finals MVP.” Personally, I think Durant brought this upon himself and should stop whining about it.

Our weekly winners include all who have helped with Hurricane Irma relief efforts including Tim Tebow and Kristen Bell who went out of their way to bring smiles to the faces of the people of Florida.
