Florida Gators (0-1)

Last week: Idle
Last rank: 9th

The one team in the SEC we know the least about this season is the Florida Gators and for good reason. They got trounced two weeks ago at AT&T Stadium against the Michigan Wolverines. Last week, the Gators didn’t play. Their home opener against the Northern Colorado Bears was canceled due to Hurricane Irma.

Florida may have looked straight up awful against Michigan, but that’s one of the best teams in the country the Gators went up against with 10 of their players suspended. The Gators have a huge SEC rivalry game at home this week versus the Tennessee Volunteers. It’s only Week 3, but this is a must-win game for the Gators if they want to think about going back to Atlanta for the SEC Championship.

Texas A&M Aggies (1-1)

Last week: Win vs. Nicholls State, 24-14
Last rank: 8th

As expected, the Texas A&M Aggies rebounded in Week 2 and beat the Nicholls State Colonels 24-14 in College Station. However, this is the same Aggies team that blew a 44-10 lead at the Rose Bowl to the UCLA Bruins in the Week 1 opener. So how good are the Aggies?

Well, we won’t find out this week, as the Aggies take on the Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns in the non-conference. To be honest, whichever team loses the Southwest Classic between SEC West rivals Arkansas and Texas A&M in Jerryworld is going to be in a mess of trouble in two weeks.
