In a game that could prove to be a laugher, the Oakland Raiders will play host to the New York Jets inside O.co Coliseum on Sunday.

Last season, the Oakland Raiders finally made it back to the playoffs, erasing a 15  year drought. Unfortunately for them, their star quarterback was injured in Week 16, and never got to lead the team against the Houston Texans in the Wildcard Round. Derek Carr is back for the Raiders in 2017, and after a stellar effort in Week 1 against the Tennessee Titans, it looks like he is going to start where he left off.

During the offseason, the Raiders went out and got running back Marshawn Lynch out of retirement. He adds a different dimension to the offense, and he looked really good in his first game back on the playing field in Week 1. He should have plenty of room to run on Sunday, as the Raiders will open their home slate against a very bad New York Jets team.

For the Jets, they kicked off their 2017 season with a loss, and that should be the first of many. They spent the offseason shedding their roster of veteran talent, and will instead go with some young players this season. They are going to have their share of bumps in the road, and on Sunday, they may just be run over by this Raiders team, who could end up being a Super Bowl team.

Odds

Line: Oakland (-14.0)

Over/Under: 43.5

The over/under is pretty low in this one, though the Raiders will have to score most of those points if these two teams are going to get to the over. Giving the Raiders a 14-point spread is a smart move, but they could shatter that number if they keep  their foot on the gas on Sunday. This line and over/under has changed a bit over the past week or so, so head on over to sportsbookreview.com for any changes up until kickoff.

Prediction

This game is going to get out of hand early, as the Raiders roll to a 2-0 start. The Jets just do not have enough talent to hang with Oakland, and it is going to show on Sunday. New York barely covered a 9.5-point spread against the Buffalo Bills, so you can only imagine what the Raiders are going to do to them in Week 2.

Final Score: Raiders 30, Jets 13
