ESPN College GameDay heads to Papa John’s Cardinals Stadium in Week 3 for Clemson vs. Louisville and we look at the best signs from the crowd.
It never fails that ESPN College GameDay always shows up at the biggest game of the week early in the season. To avoid repeats later in the season, they may change it up and go to less high-profile matchups. However, it’s still early in the 2017 campaign, so they’re going for the big one. In Week 3, they’re heading to Kentucky as the Louisville Cardinals host the Clemson Tigers.
This matchup is enormous for a number of reasons. For one, you’re looking at two ACC teams and the outcome could go far in determining the conference champion. More than that perhaps, Dabo Swinney’s Clemson enters this matchup as the No. 3 team in the country, which would put them in the College Football Playoff if it were chosen today. Lamar Jackson and Louisville, meanwhile, is the 14th ranked team and hope to put themselves further in the national conversation.
What’s fantastic about games of this caliber hosting College GameDay is that it means the signs are top-notch. You’re talking about two passionate fan-bases in a game with massive stakes. That’s the recipe for terrific GameDay signs. Let’s not forget, the Lamar Jackson-Bo Jackson parody a year ago was one of the best sings of the year.
Having said all that, let’s take a look at the best signs from ESPN College GameDay in Week 3 from Clemson vs. Louisville:
