Newcastle face Stoke at St. James’ Park on Saturday, Sept. 16. Here’s all the info you need to watch.

After losing their first two games of the season, Newcastle have won two straight games. Stoke have five points after beating Arsenal and drawing with Manchester United and West Brom.

Newcastle’s first four games are difficult to figure out. The Magpies looked bad in the first two games but bounced back with two convincing wins. Rob Elliott has performed well in goal this season, posting back to back clean sheets. Center-back Jamaal Lascelles has played well for Newcastle and could play his way into the England side if he continues to perform. While the Toons should continue to be good defensively under Rafa Benitez, it remains to be seen how good they will be going forward. Newcastle have scored four goals but two have come from their center-backs. The Magpies need more from their strikers if they are going to pick up three points at home.

Mark Hughes has used a 3-4-2-1 formation this season but has changed his starting XI every game this season. Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting scored twice against Manchester United, helping Stoke get a point. Choupo-Moting has been joined by Jese and Xherdan Shaqiri in the front three for most of the season. Outside of the top six teams, Stoke’s front three is one of the better-attacking units. Defensively, Hughes preferred back three this season has been Ryan Shawcross, Kurt Zouma and American Geoff Cameron.
