LOS ANGELES, CA – SEPTEMBER 10: Wide receiver Cooper Kupp /

Cooper Kupp and quarterback Jared Goff have shown a serious connection in their short time together. That will continue against the Redskins secondary.

Jared Goff, after one week against perhaps the league’s worst defense, looks like a totally different player. With Josh Norman likely shadowing Sammy Watkins, rookie Cooper Kupp should see an increased role this week. The Rams get the Redskins on Sunday.

Kupp caught four of his team-high six targets for 76 yards and a touchdown. He will be in line for an even higher percentage of targets if Norman does shadow Watkins as expected.

The Redskins are vulnerable through the air, especially in the slot where Kupp does his damage. Look no further than Nelson Agholor’s game against Washington to see the vulnerability they have there. The game should also be closer than the beating the Rams put on the Colts.

In a close game, after proving reliable last week, Goff could lean on Kupp over the middle. Look for the rookie receiver to propel into a fantasy regular with another great performance.

If you were able to snag Kupp on the waiver wire, especially in PPR formats, he could be a viable WR3 or FLEX options this week. Kupp will likely lead the team in targets and has touchdown upside against the weak Redskins unit.
