Miami’s best wide receiver, and PPR machine, Jarvis Landry will look to create a connection with new quarterback Jay Cutler early this week.

Unfortunately there is not much to go off of because the Dolphins did not get to play last week. This week they travel to Los Angeles to play the Chargers.

The Chargers boast two impressive cover corners in Jason Verrett and Casey Hayward who lock down opposing outside wide receivers. Lucky for Landry, his damage typically comes from the slot where the Charger’s lack of depth at the position really shows.

While every fantasy player was hyping up DeVante Parker for the third straight year, it is Landry who will be the Dolphins wide receiver to target this week. It would not be surprising, in a game that could be close, to see Landry lead the team in targets with over ten.

The Dolphins will need Jay Cutler to break some trends to get Parker the ball, but the gunslinger understands when he has a go-to wide receiver. Look at his history with Alshon Jeffrey and Brandon Marshall. Cutler knows that his best players need the ball and will get it to them.

Parker is routinely a 90-catch player and this season will likely be no different. I expect a hot start and chemistry between him and Cutler. The game may be close but I’d plug Landy into both daily and season-long line-ups.
