Ohio State will try to rebound from its loss to Oklahoma when Army comes to town. A look at how to watch this game online.
Another weekend of college football is here, and it’s one step closer to conference play. For the first few weeks, most or all the schools have played nonconference opponents, creating an interesting dynamic for teams that don’t usually play each other. This applied to Ohio State, who faced Oklahoma, one of the top teams in the nation. However, it resulted in a 31-16 loss. This game came at home, too.
The Buckeyes and Sooners kept the score close at halftime, as it was just 3-3. Then came the offensive onslaught from Baker Mayfield and co., along with JT Barrett’s struggles. Mayfield finished with 386 passing yards and three touchdowns, while Barrett had just 183 passing yards and one interception.
The fourth quarter did OSU in. Oklahoma outscored them, 14-3, to break away and win the game.
The bright spot came with the Buckeye running game. They had 167 yards, with JK Dobbins’ 72 yards and one touchdown that led the way. It wasn’t enough to make up for an anemic passing game, however, which the Sooners took advantage of.
Ohio State will look to right this wrong against Army, who enter Saturday’s game at 2-0. Wins over Fordham and Buffalo put them in this position, with a tough game at Ohio Stadium on the way.
