The Syracuse Orange will face off against the Central Michigan Chippewas Saturday. Here’s all the info you need to watch.

The Central Michigan Chippewas hope to continue their strong start to the season as they play Syracuse. Kickoff from the Carrier Dome in Syracuse, New York on Saturday will be at 3:30 p.m. ET. ACC Network will have the telecast. The available live stream will be on WatchESPN.

Syracuse comes into this game lacking confidence after a disappointing loss in Week 2. They came up short by a touchdown at home against Middle Tennessee. Dating back to last season, Syracuse is just 1-5 in their last six games. Their Week 1 contest was very positive as they won 50-7 over Central Connecticut. While the opponent lacked talent, the blowout victory proved that their offense and defense have the pieces to be successful. Syracuse hopes to regain this feeling against Central Michigan on Saturday.

The Orange’s quarterback Eric Dungey is obviously integral in deciding how effective the offense is. He is both a great passer and runner. So far, he has passed for 508 yards with three touchdowns and one interceptions. Meanwhile, he has also run for 104 yards and three touchdowns. The defense will need to step up big time as they play an opponent better than Middle Tennessee in Week 3. The Orange gave up 363 yards of total offense to the Blue Raiders.

Central Michigan, on the other hand, is coming into this game with a highly effective offense. The Chippewas quarterback Shane Morris is coming off one of his best performances in a 45-27 win over the Kansas Jayhawks in Week 2. On the season, Morris has passed for 693 yards and six touchdowns. That impressive mark puts him in 12th in the FBS after two contests. Not only has the team passed successfully, their ground game has also caused trouble for opposing defenses. On 30 carries, running back Jonathan Ward has run for 206 yards and a touchdown.

If Central Michigan fails to come up with this mild upset, their defense will be to blame. They gave up 27 points in each of their first two games. Their offense was barely enough in Week 1 as they edged out Rhode Island 30-27 in triple overtime. They’re allowing a lackluster 431 yards on defense per game. If that number doesn’t improve on Saturday against Syracuse, the Chippewas will leave New York disappointed.
