The Wake Forest Demon Deacons are 2-0 and will be hosting the 1-1 Utah State Aggies on Saturday afternoon in Winston-Salem, NC.
So far this season, the Demon Deacons have Presbyterian College, easily dispensing them, 51-7. In their next game, they faced a tougher challenge in Boston College, but still passed with flying colors, winning 34-10.
On the other sideline, the Aggies started off the season with an extremely difficult test at Wisconsin. They got demolished in that game, losing 59-10. They came back against Idaho State in Week 2 and had a better game, winning 51-13.
Wake Forest will look to ride a a good defense that’s given up only 17 points this season. On the other hand, Utah State will look to push behind its quarterback, Kent Myers. The Aggies’ signal caller has thrown for a lot of yards, but also been picked off four times so far this season. It’s weighted down because of the game against Wisconsin.

According to SportsBookReview, Wake Forest opens as 15-points favorites. The moneyline for Wake Forest is set to -500, while it’s set to +405 for Utah State. The over/under on the total score is also set for 54.5 points.
Given the huge line that’s set, expect this to be a one-sided matchup in favor of Wake Forest. Utah State’s traveling to the East Coast in an early morning game and that doesn’t sound like the formula for a victory.
