Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Jeremy Maclin left today’s game against the Cleveland Browns with an arm injury.
The Baltimore Ravens have battled a slew of injuries this season, and it doesn’t seem to be ending any time soon. Just last week they lost Danny Woodhead to an injury, and now Jeremy Maclin appears to have joined that list.

Maclin was a nice offseason addition for the Ravens, who were in need of a wide receiver with big play capability. He made an immediate impact from the get go, when he hauled in a 48-yard touchdown pass in last weeks win against the Cincinnati Bengals. Maclin caught a reception for 19-yards today, before he went down in pain. An update by Jeff Zrebiec has been provided on the situation, saying the Ravens’ training staff was checking out his shoulder, and what was being called a “stinger”.

It’s still a bit concerning, but it seems as though he may have avoided a serious injury. Losing Maclin to any amount of time would really hurt the Ravens passing attack, as it would only leave them with Mike Wallace as their lone deep threat, which is concerning.

Maclin being examined on the sideline helps keep fans optimistic, because he would have already been in the locker room if it was serious. The injury in fact proved not to be as serious as it seemed initially, and he has returned to today’s game against the Browns.

Ravens fans can breath a sigh of relief, as their best receiver is now back on the field helping their team get off to a potential 2-0 start to the season. For a team that has suffered numerous injuries this season, this is great news as they do not have to game plan without him.
