Real Sociedad have won their first three games, joining Barcelona as the only La Liga side with nine points. Sociedad lead La Liga with 10 goals but have conceded four goals. With both teams being able to score in bunches, Sunday’s game could end up being high scoring.

Madrid enter the game without Cristiano Ronaldo and Marcelo who are both suspended, while Karim Benzama and Marco Asensio will miss the game with injuries. The defending champions signed Isco to a contract extension on Thursday. Isco has had a breakout for Madrid over the past year. With Zidane playing the majority of his regular starting XI against APOEL, and four regulars unavailable, he will have to make changes to his lineup.

With Madrid settling for draws in their past two games, Sociedad could also take points from a shorthanded squad. Sociedad are coming off of a 4-2 victory against Deportivo de La Coruña, with Asier Illarramendi scoring twice. Juanmi is second in La Liga with three goals this season, while Willian Jose has scored twice.
