Where can you find the premiere of Vice Principals season 2 online?

The hit comedy from HBO returns for its second season on Sunday, Sept 17. This will also be the show’s final season. Despite earning high praise and positive reviews, show creators Danny McBride and Jody Hill always envisioned it as a two-season arc, containing a single story. The series stars McBride and Walton Goggins as a pair of power-hungry co-Vice Principals.

The end of season 1 saw McBride’s Neil Gamby the victim of a shooting. I think we can assume it was not a fatal one because he is back in season 2, but it remains to be seen who did it and why. Gamby may not have even been the intended target. I don’t know if the series will introduce another important player this close to the end. The conflict in the first season was pretty much confined to between the two Vice Principals and the school board, and there are now only 9 episodes left. So the show may not want to bring in another important obstacle this late in the game.

In the trailer for season 2, Gamby is clearly preoccupied with the identity of his shooter. Understandable. Also, it seems that his experience only strengthened his resolve to gain power in the school. His friend Lee Russell was installed as principal, and a new character, Nash, looks to be an imitation of Gamby in nearly every way.  The challenging part for the show may be to give Gamby and Russell an opponent. They spent the entire first season attempting to discredit the schools newly named Principal, Belinda. But that character does not appear in the trailer and may not appear at all. So without someone to plot against, who are these guys?

Of course, because the story was planned as a two-season-arc from the beginning McBride and the other writers could very well have a plan that turns out just fine.
