Chuck Pagano

Head Coach, Indianapolis Colts

The Indianapolis Colts are a dumpster fire. Frankly, that isn’t even harsh enough, but we will leave it there. At the head of the problem is coach Chuck Pagano, especially with former general manager Ryan Grigson having been shown the door back in January.

The Colts are the most dysfunctional franchise in the NFL. In short, they are the New York Knicks of football. It’s an embarrassment and while all of it can’t be laid at Pagano’s feet, much of it can. After going to the postseason in each of his first three seasons, Pagano and the Colts have failed to notch a winning season in both 2105 and 2016. After an 0-2 start that includes two different starting quarterbacks (neither being Andrew Luck), it appears this train is going off the tracks, full stop.

Pagano was a terrific defensive coordinator before taking over the top gig with the Colts, and that’s what he needs to go back to. Indianapolis should be looking to hire a big name perhaps Jon Gruden, considering Luck’s pull. At some point, new general manager Chris Ballard needs to put his stamp on the team, and he should start with the man on the sidelines.
