Tyquan Lewis

DL, Ohio State

After a rough week against the Oklahoma Sooners, the Ohio State Buckeyes bounced back with a win over Army at home. While it was an expected win, Ohio State improved on some things that will help them as they get ready for more conference play.

As for Tyquan Lewis, it was a bit of a quiet day for him out on the field. He didn’t register on the stat sheet and while that certainly isn’t the end all be all for a player, it was a bit surprising that was the case.

It can be weird for a defensive line like Ohio State’s going up against an option-style offense like the one Army has. It gives Lewis less opportunity to make an impact in the pass rushing department when the other team passes less than 10 times in a game.

Still, there is really nothing to take away from this one either. The Buckeyes got the win that needed after they let Oklahoma take care of business in a big way against them last week on their home field.

Against a more traditional offense, Lewis will see his stats back on the stat sheet. Against a unique one like Army, no one should hold him not registering on the stat sheet against him. It can be a bore watching the other team run the ball nearly 60 times.
