Calvin Ridley

WR, Alabama

The Alabama Crimson Tide might not be passing the ball enough to Calvin Ridley to get him the touches he probably deserves, but he’s making the most of what he is given every time the ball comes his way.

Against Colorado State, Ridley led the team with three receptions, which seems crazy, but he made the most of it. He had one touchdown on the night and let 78 yards do the talking in another Alabama victory.

There are plenty of talented receivers in this draft class, but it’s hard to say right now whether or not any of them are good enough to be a high first-round pick. Ridley could very well be the top one off the board, but this class so far is shaping up to be one where a run on them could go in the mid-first to early second.

He isn’t going to be limited on receptions every single week either. There are going to be some weeks where Alabama lets Jalen Hurts open up things a little more and the passes find their way down the field.

For now, Ridley is going to have to live with the passes he does get thrown his way. He’s doing that just fine and his stock shouldn’t be greatly affected by it that much either. When a team like the Crimson Tide can run the ball effectively, they aren’t going to stop what they do best unless someone else stops them.
