Christian Wilkins

DT, Clemson

If his insane athletic prowess wasn’t enough to make everyone excited, Christian Wilkins has been a monster the past couple of weeks. After a big performance against Auburn in a defensive classic last week, Wilkins was back at it again this week.

He was really giving Louisville everything they could handle up front, as he and the rest of the Clemson defense didn’t let Lamar Jackson run away from them. In fact, he even got to the Heisman winner once himself.

After a strong showing that shot his stock up last week, Wilkins was exactly where he needed to be this week. He added another sack to his total and that versatility that is going to make him beloved at the very next level.

The Clemson defense is locked in right now and the entire team is really hitting their stride. There are plenty of arguments to be made as to why the defending National Champions should be the top ranked team for right now.

Instead, it should fuel Wilkins and company to keep tearing through everyone that stands in their way going forward. Wilkins’ strength is his versatility to play inside or move outside if need be. Plus, no one should count out the fiery passion he has for the game.
