WWE did an amazing job Monday night on RAW paying tribute to the late Bobby “The Brain” Heenan
The professional wrestling world was dealt a huge blow on Sunday with the news that Bobby “The Brain” Heenan had passed away at the age of 73. Heenan was one of the more influential personalities in professional wrestling history, especially during the time that he spent working for Vince McMahon and WWE.
With Heenan being such an integral part of WWE history as both the greatest manager and greatest commentator of all time, it was more than fitting that McMahon and the rest of the WWE family did all they could to make sure he was remembered properly.
Here’s the video package that aired on Monday night, paying tribute to a man who was quite possibly the best all-around performer that the industry has ever seen.
While this was an amazing tribute and very well-deserved, the fact of the matter is that there is no video on the face of the planet that could do justice to just how good Heenan was at his job. It’s really not hyperbole to call him the greatest of all time for both the manager and broadcaster roles, nor is it a stretch to say that he was indeed the greatest all-around performer the wrestling business has ever had. Because, you have to remember, when he did spend time as a wrestler in the ring, he made sure he went out of his way to draw heat and entertain the fans there as well.
