8. Trevor Siemian

The Denver Broncos victory over last year’s regular season NFC Champion Dallas Cowboys was probably the most impressive result of the week – and Siemian was a big reason the offense obliterated the Cowboys D. Siemian threw for four touchdowns, 231 yards, and was able to spread the ball around to his playmakers with ease. He provided Emmanuel Sanders and Demaryius Thomas with six catches each (Sanders had a pair of touchdowns), and simply had a terrific day.

Siemian was up and down as a starter last year (59.5 completion percentage and 18 touchdowns to 10 interceptions), but he’s proven to be the team’s leader and continues to hold last year’s first round pick Paxton Lynch at bay. With such outstanding playmakers around him, Siemian needs only to dish the ball around and not single-handedly win games, but he’s showing more and more he’s capable of taking his game to the next level.

For those of you who like to pick up the best of the bunch at quarterback each week for your fantasy squads and ride who’s hot, you could do a lot worse than a starter who has this amount of talent around him. Siemian could surprise with a few more performances like this.
