Lonzo Ball makes a bold claim with his t-shirt during team workouts.

Move over Jerry West, Lonzo Ball is coming for you. Of course, the oldest of the Ball brothers will begin his campaign to become a Lakers great this season. But, Zo has much higher aspirations. In a recent work-out with teammates, Ball wore a shirt with an NBA logo on it. However, it was no ordinary NBA logo, the silhouette of West was replaced with Ball’s face.

Ball has yet to play in a regular season NBA game, some may believe that this is just another example of Ball’s unchecked ego. But ironically, it isn’t. West himself was quoted as saying that he would like to see the NBA logo modified to exclude him. So, who better to replace him than Ball? Alright, maybe that’ll have to wait, but don’t rule it out in the future. After all, Ball has already been praised and ranked above Carmelo Anthony on NBA top players lists.

This shirt should come as no surprise to anybody. While Ball is extremely competitive, it’s doubtful that he meant any harm with this shirt. It’s just a fun shirt to wear, it’s nothing serious or disrespectful to West. It’s kind of cool, where do we get one?

In the end, photos of Zo in this t-shirt are just another tactic being used by the Ball family to market their name. In recent months, LaVar Ball and his sons have managed to pull off one of the most unorthodox, brilliant marketing campaigns in recent memory. For those concerned about Ball’s shirt, there’s a simple solution to calm yourself. Relax and buckle up for the ride, enjoy the Ball family’s antics. After all, they won’t be going anywhere any time soon.
