Josh Rosen

Quarterback, UCLA

The San Francisco 49ers are another team in the middle of a rebuild, as they brought in a new general manager and head coach this past offseason. John Lynch and Kyle Shanahan each signed six-year deals with the organization, and will be tasked with bringing the 49ers back to their glory days. Through two weeks of the NFL season, it is clear the 49ers will once again be picking high in the draft next April.

If the 49ers are going to turn their franchise around, they are going to have to start with  the quarterback. Running back Carlos Hyde is a strong runner, but this 49ers offense is pretty one dimensional at this point. While some believe the team will bring in Kirk Cousins this upcoming offseason, we believe they will take their franchise quarterback in the draft.

That player should be Josh Rosen, who, like Sam Darnold, has yet to decide whether or not he will enter the 2018 NFL Draft. If he does decide to come out, he would have a perfect head coach in Shanahan, who is known for doing great work with quarterbacks.

Rosen is one of those quarterback prospects who appear to be can’t-miss, but he is going to have a long road ahead of him if he is selected to be the savior in San Francisco.
