Saquon Barkley

Running Back, Penn State

The Cleveland Browns selected a quarterback in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft, selecting DeShone Kizer from Notre Dame to be their future at the position. Kizer beat out the rest of the quarterbacks this Summer, earning the starting job for the Browns. He has struggled through his first two starts, but the team is not going to turn their backs on him, and it should force them to pick another position early in the draft.

That player should be Saquon Barkley, who is having an unbelievable season for the Penn State Nittany Lions. Barkley was born to be a standout player at the NFL level, and he could have the kind of impact that Ezekiel Elliott had for the Dallas Cowboys during the 2016 season.

The Browns do have Isaiah Crowell in the backfield still, but Barkley appears to be too good a talent to pass up.

If Kizer can make a jump from year one to year two,  the Browns should be decent next season. Cleveland has two draft picks in the first round in 2018, as well as a ton of picks in the later rounds as well. Barkley would give them the best playmaker at running back they have had in a long time, and with a good, young roster beginning to be built in Cleveland, hopefully they will no longer be a laughingstock in a few seasons.
