Minkah Fitzpatrick

Cornerback, Alabama

The Chicago Bears looked so good in Week 1, as they had the defending NFC champs up against the ropes inside Solider Field. In Week 2, they looked like a completely different team, failing to do anything against Jameis Winston and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Winston shredded their defense, and it is time for the team to bring in some young talent to the defensive backfield.

The best cornerback in the 2018 NFL Draft class is Minkah Fitzpatrick, who has been a beast for the Alabama Crimson Tide the last couple of seasons. He is the kind of shut-down corner that defensive backfields are built around, and has a history of coming up big in big games. He would be a perfect fit in Chicago, because he plays with his heart on his sleeve, and is a big-play machine.

Chicago is going to be picking early again next year, and they will not need a quarterback due to the fact they traded up to get Mitchell Trubisky last April. They need to do a better job on defense, so look for them to go that route when they pick in the first round. Fitzpatrick would be a nice grab at No. 6, though some desperate teams could select him in the top-five if they decide to pass on some of these franchise quarterbacks.
