Gotham is back on a new night, and clearly Gotham City has changed a lot since season 3. Here’s what you can expect in the season premiere, “Pax Penguina.”
The air has cooled down and it’s getting dark earlier, which is a sure sign that Gotham is back on television. In its fourth season, Gotham has upped its ante and is ready to bring its A-game in Gotham: Dark Knight.
The new tagline shouldn’t be surprising considering that we saw Bruce Wayne dressed in black watching out over Gotham City in the season finale. But the young Bat-To-Be isn’t going to have it easy as a new group of villains arrive to wreak havoc.
Gotham’s season 4 kicks off with “Pax Penguina.” Here’s the official synopsis:
“Detective Gordon suspects that Jonathan Crane has resurfaced; Penguin hosts the grand opening of his new Iceberg Lounge; Bruce begins his vigilante watch.”
And here is the trailer for season 4, episode1:
With Jim Gordon back at the GCPD doing what he does best, the Gotham Underworld won’t be able to rest easy. He has seen too much — and lost too much — to let things go. Of note is Gordon’s odd give and take relationship with Oswald Cobblepot, with whom he has shared a symbiotic relationship in the past. Now that Penguin is the reigning champion of the Gotham City villains, will he enjoy any kind of immunity from Gordon and the GCPD?
Penguin won’t have much time to get in trouble with the opening of his masterpiece club, the Iceberg Lounge. Here he’ll have his ear to the ground and his eye on his nemesis, The Riddler, who has been made into a living ice statue.
