College Football Picks Against The Spread September 21-22, 2017
I had a solid week last week, ending up 11 games over .500 for the season now at 76-65. That is getting closer to where I want to be, but there is a lot of college football left this season.

For those of you that are new here, I put myself out there every week. For the last six years, I have picked every single college football game. Sounds easy, right? I thought so too. So I have picked them all against the spread. That significantly increases the degree of difficulty.
I take the average of the odds from the six major Vegas casinos and round that to the nearest half point. There will be no ties here. Ties are for the other football.
Some site will sell you top ten picks for a fee. Some will even give you a couple of free picks to lure you in. This is every game picked, all for free.
This contains the picks for FBS vs. FBS games only. It is too hard to get an accurate spread on games that involve 1-AA teams.
I will assign a point value “bet” on each game, between one and five points. That way you can see just how confident I am in each pick. Look for those at the end of each line. I am 27 points to the good this year, but am still paying last year’s debt.
This is for entertainment purposes only! I cannot be responsible for you losing any of your worldly possessions, significant others, or limbs to a loan shark. I am a simple person. I cannot have that on my conscience.
We are down to just 59 games this weekend, however, only four feature games against 1-AA teams. That means we have 55 FBS vs. FBS games this weekend, making it the largest week of the year so far for my picks. There aren’t any cancellations for the first time this season as well!
Three of those 55 take place before Saturday. Let’s get to those early picks!
Temple at (21)South Florida(-19.5)(3): The Bulls have had all kinds of issues covering so far this year, but I’m not really worried about this one. The Owls are just plain awful on offense. USF wins big!
Virginia at Boise State(-13.5)(2): This is a tough trip for the Hoos, but I’m still not crazy about that Boise offense. Their running game is inserting Montell Cozart in at quarterback. Virginia’s defense has been pretty good this year with the exception of a few long plays given up to the Hoosiers. Boise doesn’t have the quarterback nor the receivers to burn them deep. That will keep this game in a smaller section of the field, which really favors Virginia. Give me the Cavs.
(23)Utah(-4.5) at Arizona(3): This is the best Utah’s offense has looked in several years. Arizona has a potent offense (sometimes) and a weak defense (sometimes). I guess what I’m trying to say is that I have no idea which version of Arizona will show up. However, the only decent team they played was Houston, and they struggled to move the ball. Utah wins by double digits. I know what to expect from them.
