NFL Week 3: Picks, predictions and more

After a horrid start to my season, I quietly had a better Week 2. This week, I plan to fully unleash. It all starts with a horrendous Thursday night game.

After a bad first week, I started to come around. In the first 16-game slate of the year, I went 10-6, which isn’t great, but at least it isn’t 8-7. Stick with me, and we’ll be alright.

This week, all of the lines are fairly close except for the Packers and Patriots, which are both favored by double-digit spreads. So which teams will win? Which teams fall hard? Let’s get to the picks, Week 3 style.

As always, all lines used courtesy of SportsBook Review.

Los Angeles Rams (-2.5) at San Francisco 49ers

This isn’t exactly a must-see primetime matchup, but here we are. Los Angeles (1-1) and San Francisco (0-2) are both young teams with first-time head coaches, but the Rams are further along. The biggest difference? Jared Goff. Imagine that.

Pick: Los Angeles 16, San Francisco 13

Baltimore Ravens (-3.5) at Jacksonville Jaguars (London)

We should be ready for England to declare war after sending Blake Bortles to their soil on an annual basis. The Ravens (2-0) don’t have an offense, but the defense is terrific, amassing 10 takeaways in two games. The Jaguars (1-1) can also play defense, but Bortles is too much to overcome here.

Pick: Baltimore 22, Jacksonville 17

New York Giants at Philadelphia Eagles (-7)

It’s early, but the Giants (0-2) look dead on arrival. This is a horrifying matchup for New York, having the league’s worst offensive line going against the Eagles (1-1). Philadelphia will struggle at times offensively, but the defense will cause turnovers.

Pick: Philadelphia 23, New York 14

Houston Texans at New England Patriots (-13)

It’s impossible to pick the Texans (1-1) in this game. Houston has looked awful, Deshaun Watson is going against Bill Belichick, and Tom Brady isn’t losing two consecutive home games. The Patriots (1-1) should roll with ease.

Pick: New England 27, Houston 10
