Broncos at Bills: Preview, prediction, odds and pick
We’re getting ready to see the 2-0 Denver Broncos and Buffalo Bills renew acquaintances in upstate New York. Which team comes out on top in this contest?
Once again, the Denver Broncos are off to a fast start. In case you haven’t been playing attention, this is the fifth consecutive year the franchise has opened the season with a pair of wins. Of course, last season’s edition of the club began 4-0. But the then-defending Super Bowl champions dropped seven of their final 12 games and missed the playoffs for the first time since 2010.
Of course, the Buffalo Bills would love to have such problems. This is the only franchise in the league that hasn’t been to the postseason this century. New head coach Sean McDermott has seen his club win a home game against the New York Jets (21-12) and then fall a week ago at Carolina by a 9-3 score.
Odds
Line: Broncos (-3)
Over/Under: 40
Vance Joseph’s Broncos are favored to remain unbeaten in 2017 (via the consensus of SportsBookReview). But the over/under here suggests that points will be hard to come by. There will be a lot of star defensive players on the field Sunday afternoon in Orchard Park.

The Denver Broncos are hitting the road for the first time this season. This was a club that split its eight games away from home a year ago. Although the Buffalo Bills have not been a playoff team since 1999, that doesn’t make this an easy assignment for Joseph’s club. Don’t be surprised if the Men from Mile High need some scoring help from the defense. Don’t look for a lot of fireworks in this match-up.
Pick: Broncos 14, Bills 12
