That Denver Broncos defense has that gleam in its eyes once again. But now Vance Joseph’s team hits the road for the first time this year. So does that mean that the Buffalo Bills are prepared to pull off a mini-surprise?

So on Sunday, the Broncos visit Ralph Wilson Stadium for the first time since 2011 and these teams meet for the first time since 2014. So what are we really expecting?

There is not a lot of recent history here. This marks just the fourth encounter between these original AFL franchises since 2008. That aforementioned contest in ’14 resulted in a 24-17 win for the Broncos at Denver. As for the Broncos last appearance in Buffalo, the team was routed by a 40-14 count.

While the unbeaten Broncos are slight road favorites over the 1-1 Bills (the line via SportsBook Review), it is that intriguing over/under numbers that is worth noting. Buffalo has scored a total of 24 points in two games and only managed a field goal last Sunday in a 9-3 loss at Carolina.

If you are Trevor Siemian and Tyrod Taylor, you better prepare for a long afternoon. With the likes of Denver’s Von Miller and Buffalo’s Jerry Hughes on the loose, both of these quarterback better be on their toes. What has been evident in the first two weeks is that the Broncos’ defense looks like its old physical self once again. And look for them and the Denver running game to control the tempo here that will prove to be the difference.
