The FanSided soccer staff make their predictions for the weekend’s Premier League games, including Southampton vs. Manchester United at St. Mary’s.

Manchester City lead the Premier League table after five games thanks to a dominant couple of matches in which they’ve beaten Liverpool and Watford by a combined score of 11-0. Pep Guardiola’s side host Crystal Palace, bottom of the table with zero points and zero goals scored, in what should be a comfortable home win.

Manchester United, who trail City on goal difference, face what should be a much more difficult test away at Southampton. The Saints have struggled for goals so far this season, but have collected a respectable eight points.

Chelsea, three points back of the Manchester clubs, play Stoke at the bet365. Mark Hughes’ side have proven their mettle against two top sides already this season, beating Arsenal and drawing 2-2 with United. This will be a difficult match for the Blues.

Elsewhere, West Ham host Tottenham at the London Stadium; Burnley and Huddersfield, both flying high early in the season, face off at Turf Moor; Everton look to get back on track against Bournemouth; Swansea, fresh off an encouraging draw against Spurs, entertain Watford; Leicester and Liverpool replay their midweek League Cup tie; newly-promoted sides Brighton and Newcastle play on Sunday; and Arsenal host West Brom on Monday.

FanSided’s soccer staff will be competing in a weekly picks league all season. The rules are simple: three points for a correct score, one for a correct result and none for an incorrect result. Here are the picks for matchweek 6:

Manchester City are huge favorites against struggling Crystal Palace, with Peter predicting they’ll put seven past Roy Hodgson’s new club. United are also expected to win by all 10 of our writers. Here’s how the table stands heading into the weekend:
